About us
History
NWI was established to close the trade and opportunity gap between the U.S. and Africa. While African countries often export raw goods, they rarely capture the full economic value. Our vision is to help U.S. businesses establish long-term operations such as manufacturing and processing plants directly in Ivory Coast, shifting the model from extraction to collaboration.
The Necessity
There is a pressing need for investment in Africa that benefits both sides. U.S. businesses can lead a new wave of ethical globalization by investing in local production. Manufacturing and processing facilities in Ivory Coast reduce logistics costs and create jobs, resulting in greater social stability and economic resilience.

Our Mission
Our Purpose
To foster cross-border trade and development between the U.S. and Ivory Coast by empowering businesses, investing in local capacity, and building trust through transparent, inclusive collaboration.
Our Focus Areas
We help businesses navigate market entry, form strategic partnerships, and empower local communities through trade-based development projects. From regulatory guidance to trade facilitation, our work promotes inclusive economic growth and workforce development.
Strategic Opportunity
Ivory Coast is rich in natural resources and regional influence. Yet over 70% of its agricultural exports like cocoa and cashew nuts leave the country unprocessed. By bringing processing capabilities to Ivory Coast, U.S. businesses can add value, improve supply chain control, and create high-quality jobs. In turn, this strengthens the long-term presence and influence of U.S. enterprise in West Africa.
Why It Matters for the U.S.:
Investing in Africa is more than charity or diplomacy—it is a strategic economic imperative. American businesses gain new markets, diversified supply chains, and a foothold in a region increasingly targeted by global competitors.
Trade Missions
Why Trade Missions Matter
Trade missions are not just about business—they are about understanding. Through organized visits, presentations, and business matchmaking, our missions lay the foundation for lasting commercial and cultural ties.
Upcoming Missions
Our first trade mission is in development and will focus on sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, healthcare, and infrastructure. Participants will benefit from on-the-ground exposure to emerging opportunities.
Participant Benefits
Attendees will receive customized briefings, curated site visits, introductions to local buyers and policymakers, and cultural orientation. These immersive experiences are designed to accelerate decision-making and reduce entry risk.
Be a Pioneer
As a newly established nonprofit, we are building our network from the ground up. Early adopters and founding partners will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of U.S.–Ivory Coast economic relations.
