The North West Initiative (NWI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting U.S. businesses with meaningful opportunities in Ivory Coast. Through strategic trade missions, investment advocacy, and cross-sector partnerships, we empower companies to expand globally while contributing to job creation and stability in West Africa. Our mission is to bring industry closer to resources, foster sustainable development, and strengthen U.S. leadership through global collaboration.

NWI was established to close the trade and opportunity gap between the U.S. and Africa. While African countries often export raw goods, they rarely capture the full economic value. Our vision is to help U.S. businesses establish long-term operations such as manufacturing and processing plants directly in Ivory Coast, shifting the model from extraction to collaboration.
